Looking at the serial range for the Padless collected so far 27022-30083 and the other Elkhart's and Elkhart stencils in this range, it could be estimated that the production of the Padless was about 1500 to 2000 units.

Anyone who has information on this and could share, that would be helpful.ģ) Going back a bit further, I just received a serial number on a Selmer Padless from worldwidesaxonline. However, for the Korean was it is as yet unclear if only Conn Ltd and Buescher brand are affected or if there was an impact to the subsidiaries also. Also evidence is pointing to both companies being impacted by the Korean War. This could mean the Winsor R serials are from 1937 to 1959.ģ) Buescher and Elkhart serials should be affected by WWII similarly to Conn/Pan American.

The serial numbers and features are pointing in this direction. Getting back to Elkhart - a couple of observations, one of which was inspired by the above conversation.ġ) It looks like the Windsor brand/line may have taken over the Elkhart mantel and design features once the Aristocrat took over the Elkhart brand design features.
